This is a different kind of cold email, which will leave your potential client overjoyed that you reached out and they’ll be left delighted to the point where – if there’s any potential business, it’ll be coming your way!

This is one of the original techniques I used to grow my business and quickly find new clients at scale. It’s still a popular technique for tracking down warm leads and having them already open to the possibility of hiring, which can often speed up the process of securing the lead as a client.

We all know the value of networking, but doing this online can seem challenging so this is where online communities will serve you well. We’ll go through 2 options for sourcing potential clients, and also potential teams that you could approach for securing business.

When I can’t find the right skill set or VA for the task in my community, I head to freelancer sites where I can pinpoint exactly what I’m looking for. If you choose to work through these sites, we’ll discuss how to stand out from the crowd when replying to opportunities.

This is the most indirect approach to sourcing clients, but can still be very effective for seeing how you can use this ‘piggyback’ technique to create awareness about you and your business. This can then be reused and applied to sources of potential clients online.
